It is an oral suspension used as an analgesic in the condition of mild to moderate pain and fever in children. It is available in many brands in Pakistan. In children, it has been prescribed in suspension form(bludol suspension). It is very effective and safe for children's health.
composition:
Each 5ml contains ibuprofen USP....200 in a blue Currant flavored suspension. Dosage:
Children: 3 to 7 years: Half teaspoon three to four times daily. 8 to 12 years: One teaspoon three to four times daily or as directed by the physician.
Indications :
Pyrexia is associated with respiratory tract infections and other disorders, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, soft tissue rheumatism, traumatic inflammation, and non-specific aches.
side effects:
side effects are rare in children if used as directed by a doctor.
The other side effects are:
- upset stomach
- nausea
- vomiting
- headaches
- or drowsiness may occur.
Instructions:
Store in a cool & dry place.
Protect from light & heat.
Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
